This one-day training will provide advocates and allies with practical tactics for effective outreach in rural areas and information on oppression, as it applies to working with historically underserved populations. Participants will be better prepared to engage and work with other systems to provide meaningful, holistic services to survivors of sexual and domestic violence.

As the Outreach Advocacy Coordinator for the Kansas Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence, Savhannah Jurgensmeier provides training and technical assistance to programs across the state of Kansas regarding language access, rural advocacy support, and outreach to historically underserved populations. She supplies advocates and allies with resources and specialized knowledge on providing inclusive services to historically underserved populations. Savhannah has a background in direct service advocacy and studied Psychology at the University of Kansas.
