When individuals hear the phrase "violence against women" they often do not consider the role of men as providers of sexual or domestic violence services. Historically, the movement to end violence against women has been women-led. We know that our movement involves more than just women.
Public health research has shown us that social movements should be inclusive of all members of society. To grow as a social movement, it is critical that we incorporate more male staff members and volunteers as service providers, and that we provide inclusive services for male survivors. This training will help participants find consensus around gender dynamics in our organizations and in our movement to end rape and abuse.
