For the past year, immigration has gathered substantial attention. This has resulted in perceptual change about immigrant and refugee survivors leaving them invisible and vulnerable. In the sphere of domestic violence, there have been copious deliberations about the accuracy of information and how to best show-up or make our support visible for immigrant and refugee survivors. This webinar will focus on how advocates can reach immigrant and refugee survivors using a three-pronged approach. This approach encompasses: recognizing factual information concerning immigration, identifying immigration law and protections, and evaluating programs current capacity to outreach to and serve immigrant and refugee survivors. This webinar will be interactive in nature to best suite participants’ immigration needs and questions.
