AUDIENCE: Social workers, health care professionals, law enforcement, attorneys, mental health professionals, educators and any other helping professional working with survivors of domestic violence
This day-long training will provide an inclusive overview of the impact and dynamics of domestic and dating violence for allied professionals. As a result of this training, participants will understand the ways domestic violence impacts diverse populations and learn how to provide culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed, and empowerment-based support for victims. This training will cover introductory-level content on the dynamics of domestic violence with an emphasis on the impact on marginalized communities, and how to provide culturally-responsive, trauma-informed support to all victims of domestic violence.

Coffee, water, and snacks will be provided for this training. Please bring any food or beverages to the training to be comfortable. KCSDV must receive the registration fee by June 6. Payment can be made online by credit card or check or or by mailing your payment with the registration form on the PDF. REGISTRATION WILL NOT BE COMPLETED WITHOUT PAYMENT. PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AT THE DOOR. Full refund for cancellations will be given only if KCSDV is notified 72 hours before the training.
