Domestic Violence through an Inclusive Lens: An Introductory Training for Allied Professionals

AUDIENCE: Social workers, health care professionals, law enforcement, attorneys, mental health professionals, educators and any other helping professional working with survivors of domestic violence

This day-long training will provide an inclusive overview of the impact and dynamics of domestic and dating violence for allied professionals. As a result of this training, participants will understand the ways domestic violence impacts diverse populations and learn how to provide culturally-sensitive, trauma-informed, and empowerment-based support for victims. This training will cover introductory-level content on the dynamics of domestic violence with an emphasis on the impact on marginalized communities, and how to provide culturally-responsive, trauma-informed support to all victims of domestic violence.
