Core Sexual and Domestic Violence Advocacy Course – Virtual – June 2020

KCSDV is following social distancing guidelines during COVID-19. We will continue to monitor the situation and make adjustments as necessary. Should any adjustment impact this training, all registrants will be notified.
This course is intended to be an introductory course for domestic violence and sexual assault advocates who are new to the field. Advocates who have not attended a Domestic Violence Advocacy Course and/or Sexual Assault Advocacy Course within the past 5 years are encouraged to attend.
This training consists of two parts. Part 1 must be completed before attending Part 2.
Part 1:
- 10 Sexual Assault Modules: Each module consists of an online training (about one-hour each), additional readings, and post-test. Available at: https://www.kcsdv.org/advocate-area/saac/
- 10 Domestic Violence Modules: Each module consists of an online training (about one-hour each), additional readings, and post-test. Available at: https://www.kcsdv.org/advocate-area/dvac/
You are encouraged to begin the online modules as soon as possible to allow ample time to complete Part 1 prior to attending the in-person training.

Total Training Hours: Certificates of attendance for 20 module and 11 virtual hours will be provided to each attendee for this training. Participants are responsible for submitting any documentation necessary for continuing education credit that may be available for the content of this course.
