The goal of Advocacy Day is to increase the public’s awareness and knowledge of sexual and domestic violence and victim advocacy services in Kansas. Advocacy Day is held at the Kansas Capitol/Statehouse (Capitol) in Topeka. Your program’s presence at the Capitol is critical. You can educate on the breadth and depth of services your organization provides to victims and survivors every day in your local community and that contributes to the tremendous impact of services provided across the state. The theme is #SomeoneYouKnow: Statistics prove that sexual and domestic violence impacts #SomeoneYouKnow. Statistics prove that a survivors is #SomeoneYouKnow. Please join us in using the hashtags online, on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, before and during the event: #SomeoneYouKnow and #KCSDVAdvocacyDay2020.
